Today my post is about my friend Alicia..
I actually had the honor of calling Alicia my very best friend for many years! We have known each other since her daughter and my fellas were only 2 years old, her mom in law owned and ran the daycare that I enrolled my boys in, when I went back to work. So, I have known her for over 12 years. Alicia loves my children. She has always treated them like they were her own, and my kids love her too. I am talking, the type of relationship that my kids walk into her home, and grab something to eat and lay on the couch! Lol
Our kids have grown up together, and our husbands were old friends from school, so it was just really easy to get close to her.
She just understands me, and always has my back.
She was there for me many times, when she knew I was struggling with something, or having anxiety about going to a party. She would go in and save the day, and make sure I felt part of something.
She is that friend that we could get in the car and just drive and listen to music, without feeling the need to make small talk.
She was there for me, to give me hope, that I would make it thru Ciera’s teen years! Lol She was the first person to ever defend my kids, when I was about to jump all over them.
She helped me see things and people from a different perspective and with an open mind.
Although life and certain events got in the way over the years and we don’t see each other as much. Alicia has a special place in my heart and within my family’s heart forever. And I thank God for bringing Alicia and her family into my life. I only hope that she always has known, and will always know, that I love her,.
SO, thank you Alicia, for being an important part of not only my life but my family also.
